M. S. Cheney is an author, poet, publisher, and Christian ministry leader whose life and writing reflect a journey of faith, healing, hope, and God's unfailing grace. She is the founder of Beautifully Imperfect Press LLC and the author of Beautifully Imperfect: A Journey of Faith, Healing, and God's Faithfulness, a deeply personal memoir that invites readers to discover the beauty of God's presence in life's most imperfect moments.
Her story has not been written without heartache. Through profound personal loss, unexpected challenges, seasons of uncertainty, and courageous new beginnings, Cheney has learned that faith does not promise a life without storms. Instead, it offers the assurance that God remains present through every valley, every mountain, and every chapter still unfolding.
One of the most defining experiences of her life was the loss of her beloved daughter, Brittany Nicole, at just eighteen months old. Though the grief forever changed her journey, Brittany's life remains an enduring part of her story and testimony. Through the years, Cheney has continued to discover that even in the deepest valleys, God's love remains steadfast.
For more than fifteen years, Cheney has served in Christian marriage ministry through FamilyLife's Weekend to Remember, encouraging couples and families through prayer, Scripture, and the biblical principles of marriage and oneness. Her passion for ministry reflects a heart committed to helping others experience God's love and faithfulness in their relationships and everyday lives.
Her journey into authorship grew from a desire to share the lessons, experiences, and testimonies that shaped her life. What began as deeply personal reflections eventually became Beautifully Imperfect, published in July 2026.
Through Beautifully Imperfect Press LLC, Cheney is building a literary home for stories that encourage faith, inspire healing, restore hope, and celebrate God's grace. Her vision extends beyond her memoir to original poetry, inspirational writing, future publications, and meaningful connections with readers.
Her original poetry explores the beauty of vulnerability, the longing to be seen and loved, the courage to begin again, and the quiet ways God speaks through life's ordinary and extraordinary moments.
As a contributing columnist for Woman to Woman — The Confident Woman magazine, Cheney continues sharing reflections on faith, gratitude, healing, and the beauty of living an imperfect life in the presence of a perfect God.
Beyond her writing and ministry, Cheney has built a professional career in construction management within the mission-critical data center industry. Her professional journey reflects the same determination, perseverance, and commitment to excellence that characterize her personal story.
Yet, through every accomplishment and every challenge, her greatest desire remains to point others toward Jesus Christ and remind them that their circumstances do not determine their worth.
She believes every person carries a story worth telling, every season holds an opportunity for growth, and no chapter is beyond the reach of God's redeeming grace.
Her message is simple: Our imperfections do not disqualify us from God's purpose. They are part of the journey through which His faithfulness can be revealed.
A Personal Message to Readers
To every reader walking through an unexpected valley, carrying a burden unseen, or wondering what the next chapter may hold, M. S. Cheney offers this reminder:
You are seen. You are loved. Your story matters. And no matter how unfinished or imperfect your journey may feel, God has not stopped working in your life.
“The Author is still writing, and His pen never stops.”
